Novel Study
Join us for an in-depth novel study of The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe by C.S. Lewis.
This is a weekly meet up, meeting for 10 weeks. Students will read or listen to the book at home, and meet up to discuss comprehension questions, vocabulary words, and their thoughts on the book.
Sessions start Wednesday, September 18th and run every Wednesday, ending November 20th. Sessions run from 9:30-10:30am.
Students/Families must obtain the book on their own. We highly recommend checking your local library. Audiobook is also acceptable if that is better for your learner.
This is aimed towards 4th-8th graders, Please check the reading level of the novel to determine if your learner is ready for this study.
This is a drop-off program since it runs during our Microschool hours. Caregivers are welcome to remain on the property, but due to safety regulations, can only join the session with an approved background check.
Cursive Learning Program
Come join us for our Cursive Learning Program!
This program consists of two 6-week sessions. We will meet once a week to learn a new cursive skill. Each student will get a cursive workbook for learning and practice.
Session one runs from September 16th to October 28th (No class October 14th). Class meets every Monday and runs from 12:30-1:30pm.
Session two runs from November 12th (Tuesday) to December 16th. Class meets every Monday, except the first class is on a Tuesday, from 12:30-1:30pm.
Children will be provided with a workbook of their own. All necessary supplies will be provided by MLA.

Lego Social
Come discover our theme, chat about possible builds, and build SOMETHING extraordinary out of Legos!
This is a drop off, or parent stay, Lego Social! Please use your best judgment on whether you drop off or stay.
Cyber Safety Class
Modern Learning Association is partnering up with the Derry Police Department to offer a cyber safety awareness class for pre-teens, teens and their caregivers!
There will be an officer coming to share a powerpoint presentation about the safety concerns around social media, cell phone apps and usage, identity and purchases on the internet. Not only will this class benefit our youth, but caregivers are invited to stay and learn as well.
Snacks will be provided!
